Description Final part of this guy. He still works with the City Commander armor. I know some people might consider it redundant, but I NEVER liked the idea of Ultra Magnus looking like a white Optimus Prime underneath armor plating. Even after DW tried to make something out of it. So this way, he can look like Magnus without the armor, and he can look like Magnus WITH the armor.

Seriously, this was all about the fact that I'd started this project, THEN the armor came out, and I splurged and bought it, and it is awesome, and I still wanted to make my Magnus and have my City Commander, and so I did, and he's really cool and that's the end. So there.

Anyway, you can see how everything looks put together. The slight elements of the Classics toy that peek out of the armor look a lot better painted than with all the white, in my opinion. The blue that I painted him up is still slightly off from the shade of the armor, but it gets a little bit closer than how it was before. The shotgun he's holding comes from some KO, and just happened to fit in the square armor grip (and painted in Krylon Steel). The rocket launchers are from the TrU Reissue Magnus from some years ago. I cut down the 'child safety' rods to make the rockets flush like the originals, then painted them in the same Krylon Red Pepper as Classics Magnus.

Oh, and because I've been delving into the concept since seeing a really awesome WFC Optimus painted up using fluorescent paints, I painted the armor's eyes in fluorescent blue. Bottom pic is with a UV pen light shining in his face. Just for fun.
