I first saw him in MvC1 back in 1997. He became my instant favorite. Besides I was always into ninja characters in games

Because Ryu Hayabusa is an extremely popular ninja. People complained that Screw attack didn't allow Ryu to use all of his weapons. I simply replied to these by stating that " Ryu's True Dragon Sword is the only weapon that can stand up to the Cypher/Falchion" Using all the other weapons would be completely pointless as it would be destroyed by the Falchion/Cypher.
