I love it. It's really cool, and the creators of the game stated that the aura "Scarf" would be "Badass" and they want to make him more badass as the game goes on.

I find it a little bit strange to be honest, you'd think being 2000 years old would make Strider look like ages beyond old. But, no, he still looks as if he's 18 years old!, shocking!. Also, have you heard of the amount of flak that the new game is getting?. A lot of people think it will suck because it's Capcom. Sad, isn't it?.

More like because of Double Helix's rep. But I dont judge a game by the company. I make my own judgement.
And about Hiryu's age issue:
Makes me think he was either put in cryogenic sleep for 2000 years or some supernatural factor (like lets say a powerful chi) keeping him alive and young *shrugs*

I was worried after I read up Double Helix's track record with games, But the trailer cleared up and scepticisms I had. That's probably the idea, but I suppose that's manga logic for you. I just hope that Strider will continue to appear in games after his game "hopefully" gets a bright reception with critics and fans alike.Β

It tookΒ me a while to get toΒ reading it. You see, I cannot view images on my laptop normally due to the lack of a zoom feature. So, I converted them to my handheld device, unfortunately it came up as "Unsupported Data". So, I had to convert the images to a JPEG format. After that I read the 1st chapter, I never fought the Cypher would be something Strider would bury. He must be seriously depressed, but if I had to kill someone I held dear I'd be saddened too.

I heard the manga and the games have nothing to do with eachother storywise. Only the main character.

Perhaps, but it's as I said before. That's "Manga Logic" when it comes to Manga many plot holes are made in a story that don't make any sense, and are thus left up to the fans to decide what's up. Thankfully, Strider isn't as recurring as say Naruto, so the need for fillers (which would fill these plot holes at the expense of not advancing the story) are completely absent. That, I'm thankful for. I'd rather the story move along as I read it, and not stop to explain something that could of been done earlier. It's for this reason alone, as to why I despise cliff-hangers. The game and Manga share no relation, they only have the same character.

In the manga you notice a more caring side to Hiryu while in the games he's only seen as a badass and nothing else.
I'm glad Hiryu is an underrated character coz it gives the fans a reason to treasure the franchise more like a rare gem^^

True, but I don't think Capcom wanted to merely copy Strider. They wanted to give him his own character, so instead of making him caring they turn him into a badass. Which is pretty much the norm for Mercenaries/Ninjas. Besides, everyone likes a badass, don't they?. I agree, the joy of finding something good you've never seen/experienced before is just splendid. It' always a good idea to expand horizons and experience new things.

Well it depends ^^. He could be serious like in his game counterpart. Or he could do something that would get Tora's attention. She does have an affinity for him after all.
