About three weeks, pencil sketch, inked with black sharpie, colored with about 20 sharpies.
For my sister...GOD it took FOREVER
and i have another pair to do for her friend, ON KEDS. The fabric on Keds SUCKS.
And i must say, all my gangter friends dig the shoes, i got an offer to sell these at Walters (a high end urban wear store) for like 75 bucks, but i declined, because these are for my sister
cuz i lubz her <3

I'm looking into doing something like this to my converse.
I was going to use sharpies but I want to make sure it works.
Have you noticed any problems? Does the ink wear off or run?

I'm thinking of drawing on some converses so I searched up on here and I was wondering how u got them to not bleed, what size sharpie do u use, I found an old pair of shoes to practice on and they bled terribly - especially the blue.
do your spray them with a sealer afterwards?

Yeah I used a shoe spray from target. It's been over a year since i did these and the colors are still pretty bright.

oh dear now i feel like a copy cat... i oredered some white x-hi tops converse in white and ive been colouring them... and i ut a moon and sun on my toes too... oh deary me.. you however are much more skilled wiht a sharpie than i will ever be

Those are so dope! It's nice you wouldn't sell them b/c they were for your sister, but imo I think you could try doing other custom kicks and make some extra cash. I have a friend who's doing that for an urban store in Alberta and she's making about a bill per pair just by painting (deco colors) some extra decor.
By the way, I'm not sure if you know since you didn't mention it, but these are featured on the Sharpie site haha
