Because, The original Dante was actually supposed to be Leon. But in the end it was so unlike a Resident evil game it became DMC. I guess the look for slight Leon just stayed

Still, in my mind that doesn't justify merging Leon with Dante since this is supposed to be Resident Evil.

n leon as dante is js so unacceptable... dante is far better dn him...

i love leon bt only in re4 in degeneration he lukz old n nw in re6 dy made him dante or may i say old version of it at sm place he luk young n in some he luk f9
n dante he is my life long love.....!
