Description
I'm working on this painting at school, so I was only able to get a quick snap of it.It's an Art Nouveau version of Vriska Serket (yes, from homestuck).
Problem is, I have no idea what to do with the background.
I'm thinking yellows, possibly a sillhouette of her hive in each corner, or light drawing of her lucius in the corners.
I really have no idea what to do with the bit behind her dress.
Ideas would really be appreciated and I am going in to finish this tommorow!

I can't really help beyond offering a lot of appreciation for this, it's perfect.
I'd personally like the idea of having a light sketch of the lusus in one corner and of her hive in the other- light, not in detail, similar to the normal amount of detail in homestuck but lighter and more interesting because of the materials you're using

Loving the symbols at the top, though what's with Capricorn? It looks odd.
As for the background I dunno? Maybe a pale yellow. I'd say black but that may be a bit difficult. Perhaps...

As in you need (yes NEED) to make a Gamzee and Tavros one which you shall collect a hefty sum for.

I'll probably do all the girls first.
I mean Art Nouveau has a lot of drapey fabrics and flowers and such.
I'm not sure how I'd pull it off but it can't hurt to try.

Maybe try different dark greens blended together?

I suppose if you put more detail into that web thingy you could get away with just using block colors for the background (I seen some pictures use very simple designs and still look neat). I also maybe suggest doing the yellow designs on each corner too that'll be some great contrast with the blue.
