Description Yay, first GIMP image i made WITH a background that figures something.

But the shading sucks. ¬¬ I'm not good at making shadows.

Well, nevermind.
First sketched with HB pencil.
For the big wolf I have used the lessons from the book 'drawing wildlife' by J.C. Amberlyn. ([link] ) for drawing a good wolf body.

For the rest it's © by me.

Thankyou so much!
And thanks for the !

Well, i'll tell you how i made this:
First i made a sketch (you know, it's in my comments).
Then i scanned it and before i opened it with GIMP, i made the background (mostly with the brush, 2 layers: sky and grass/rock). I saved the background, and then i coloured the sketch in GIMP.
Then i opened the background as a layer behind the sketch. After that, i only had to make the shading (in a new layer). And then it was finished!
(oh, it TOOK me a long time, i told it as if it was easy, but it wasn't.. :S)

You're welcome!

And that sounds difficult. I always have trouble with making the lineart black, how did you do that?

First with picasa (other programme, yeah, but you have it): More contrast + shading darker. And then i make the lines that weren't black enough black with the smallest brush of GIMP. So, that's not very difficult i think!
