i think if u going to take photo or any new form of art tech u need to put yourself straight in the deep end rather than taking photos of the same thing im hating the moment where i put a photo of me on here. god help me

Puppykit In reply to Drawing-Mimic [2010-08-15 15:55:15 +0000 UTC]

Yep that's what I did from day one, nothing like tackling an easy issue such as "equality" and "wars" and "stereotypes" as a starter back in the day I'm an odd one
Haha it won't be that bad, I still hate photos of myself, whenever I do self portraits now I no longer see myself in them. It's weird, it's like I take on an alternate persona when it comes to that now, cus usually I'm mega shy

Ahhh I did GCSE, AS and just finished Alevel photography (getting the results thursday!!)
haha well your not alone in wanting perfection the longest I've spent doing a photoshoot was...6 hours and the longest time I;ve spent processing an image...so far...roughly 30 hours on one image.
You have so much to look forward too

Ahhh but aslong as you commit you'll enjoy it.
Oooh I get asked that alot...erm basically as I can't show you all my annotating and stuff (which is alottttt!), all I can suggest is think outside the box, when your planning what to paint/draw, ask yourself what your gonna draw, why, you usually get smiled upon if it has some sort of personal meaning to you (which I found hard in my first year at gcse, but by A2 I was basically documenting my feelings and what I'd been through as I went, so literally I did things on my chronic illness that not many people know about, did images that related to that, and when my and my bf split, I basically vented all of that emotion into my art, I'll post some of that after I get my results), also time plan, for artists it's essential, difficult, but otherwise I've seen people do like 2 paintings and then get aweful results, also annoyingly you'll have to work on bigger canvases, so it's a big leap because it's so much more work but then the people that put the work in get the grades. Hope that helps abit (my photography group was mixed with an art group hence why I know aha)
