Description
My old FFXI character, Halciform as my favorite job, the twisted and dark-fated Blue Mage. I always felt indifferent to that job class in previous Final Fantasy games (I'm a long-time fan) because it always seemed to be the "leftover" job class and never had a particularly interesting story. Final Fantasy XI's take, however, caught my interest and made it my favorite.I wish I could have done more with this, but I never did.
Hal, a rather nice guy (though perhaps not the top of his class), succumbs to the beast within.

Very very good. Amazing shade and color work... great composition as well. The character looks more powerful and menacing at that angle.

Wow, I LOVE this. My favorite job, by far, ingame is Blue. I loved the ToAU expansion; and I loved the blu story. Although, I don't get how you can go from Blue Mage to Soulflayer(BLM!). But I think this is amazingly done. I think this is my favorite XI fanart I've seen on here.

Blue mage was perhaps the only class I never gave a shot on XI D: I will say that having one in party was always a nice breath of fresh air and nearly always made things pan out rather well, especially in Yhoator.

I have a love/hate relationship with BLU. I love using it in an exp party, however learning the blue magic is a pain in the ass if the mobs don't cooperate.
But I'm going to need to at least level BLU some more if I'm going to use it as a subjob for my DRG now. D:

Ooh, Blue Mage... I don't see a lot of BLU art! My boyfriend is very into BLU (his in-game name even means "Blue Mage"). At times I feel like I know more about it than even my main job! Dx
