A timid anger grows inside,Drenched in pain,
Longing to break away
And escape
These words and actions,
By which you so freely express
And chose to share,
Condemning my soul
To your thoughts,
Your insights,
The depth of your mind and soul,
In which,
By chance,
My only escape is to agree
And follow your assumptions,
That by way of mouth and arm,
Or leg and eye,
Withhold my mind,
My words untold,
And bind me to your will,
And if,
By outrage,
I should break out
And be whom I desire,
Would bring unto me
Your disapproval
And thus my misfortune,
But this,
I tell you,
Is a burden I would gladly bear,
For to hold this anger,
From your words and actions,
Inside,
Would initiate a flame
Far greater
And more furious,
One that would break me,
And in turn,
Could break you.
So I dare not keep this timid anger inside,
To let it grow
And become,
A monster like your words,
Your actions,
That mean to break,
To destroy,
To hurt,
And corrupt the good.
So like my timid anger inside,
Iām telling you to get out,
And just let me be,
Because Iām done
Being trapped
By you,
With you,
And for you.
