Well, if you haven't seen my recent poll...I asked a few of you who your favorite Teen Titan was. Not surprisingly, a whole bunch of you admitted to Raven being your favorite (not that I blame ya, she IS pretty epic)...and feeling a little inspired, I decided to draw her. But this time, aged her up to a college-aged girl (between 18-22 at the most)...just 'cause I like drawing characters as older and such
Not really much has changed about Rae, though obviously her hair has grown quite longer (but tied back so it wouldn't get in the way of fighting bad guys), her facial features look more mature, and her main outfit design is now based off of her older comic book incarnations (like this oneΒ img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20β¦ ). I'm sure at this point she's got a better hand at controlling her dark powers, but I still wouldn't recommend messing with her XD

It's more like how she was in the original comics, too. When Raven debuted, she seemed a bit older than the other Titans, and the whole idea to reform the Teen Titans was her doing in the first place; she incepted the idea of reforming the Titans into Robin's head, warning him of an impending danger from the stars, and she not only got them to reunite, she also recruited Victor Stone, Garfield Logan, and K'oriandar of Tamaran to join the Titans. She probably would have lead the team in Robin's stead if she wasn't a pacifist, so her leadership stopped short of battles.
As you might guess, her sardonic personality was largely an invention of the cartoon, the comics Raven was serious, but much less grumpy. This look seems to drift back to that.

Of course, the aliens they FOUGHT weren't the one she was worried about, those were just Gordanians after Starfire.
I'll give you three guesses what Raven's real purpose for reforging the Titans was. First two don't count.

I love this design for her; the pony tail is a very nice touch!
While I love all the Titans, Raven is one of my top faves, plus one of my favorite heroes in DC Comics. I really need to re-draw some of these awesome Titans one day.

Rae Rae is Bae Bae. XDD I LOVE Rae~ She's just such a mysterious and awesome character with a really complicated past. She is just so amazing! X3 I love your older design for her! She looks so bamf!
