Description And now for something completely different

I now admit I'm a bit of a closet Iago fan. I used to draw him a lot when I was younger. This drawing came about while I was looking through Aladdin fanart here and couldn't find one decent Iago picture...so I decided to fix that

The full title is "Why the Heck do I do this to myself?"-Alluding to Iago's habit of pulling his feathers out when upset or stressed out. Well I have this on and off (mental, stupid dumbass) condition where I literally pull my hair out when stressed. I've been doing it more lately...So yeah-anyway...This is about as "Emo" as I will ever get, I promise

This is first picture I have done completely on my tablet without a sketch.

A very nice picture of Iago. I realized last night how hard this bird actually is to draw. I can draw Jafar, no problem, but when it comes to Iago all I can manage is to put a tiny little one on Jafar's shoulder. I like your description of Iago pulling his feathers out...did you know parrots actually do that? If parrots feel lonely and neglected they pluck out their own feathers.

yes I've heard that about them-I guess I have a lot in common with lonely parrots lol. And I agree Iago is a difficult character to draw-I used to draw him a lot when I was younger so I already had the feel of him. Thanks so much for the nice comment and the fav!

Very, very cool :deviation of Iago. Couldn't help but ! Have you tried any medication for your condition? Low-dose Ativan and Zoloft help me. Am far less stressed. Just ask my daughter and she'll tell you! She told me I have to stay on my meds for the rest of my life ! Love, your ~ Parks Gal

Thank you very much!
Heh, yes I used to take meds, including Zoloft, but I stopped- guess it's time to go back to the "crazy doctor"

Well, you aren't crazy, but it may be a good idea to see the Doctor. Zoloft gave me my life back when I couldn't get beyond my grief when my son passed away five years ago. I didn't start it until perhaps two or three years ago and the first year he was gone is a total daze . Had used Ativan on a limited basis, which helped some, but it wasn't a daily ritual like Zoloft. You have to find the best, most compatible med for you, which may take a couple tries ~ Parks Gal

Aw, I'm so sorry about your son
But yes, I agree sometimes it takes a while to find the right medication-that's what everyone tells me.

Thank you . When my father passed away in late January after I was able to spend seven weeks with him helping him and his companion and having Hospice come when needed brought back the feelings when Chris passed and, of course, the loss several years before of both my mother and my husband's mother. You never "get over" such losses you just learn to accept loss and move on. Am so grateful to . It has given me purpose again ~ ~ Parks Gal

I've never lost anyone close to me, so I can't imagine how painful that must be It must be very hard, but I agree it must be important to move on. I'm sure the admins here would be so happy to learn that DA has helped you liked that-it's not just about posting pictures, it's also about forming friendships

lol, as "Emo" as you'll ever get. That's an great line

Iago is an awesome character. I love the animation on him! So well done (and Jafar especially---or I may just like villain animation so much )
