Tbh I don't have any big reunion planned for these characters, they'll meet again periodically throughout the story, and send letters to each other, but there's no fateful meeting.

There are some people like that.
Krynn's unusual, even in that world.
She lives in a town that up until a short time before the events of the story was poor, then factories were built there. She and many of the other townspeople grew up without much, so want to give others as good of a live as they can because they understand what it's like to live in poverty. As a result the townspeople donate to the orphanage to help the children there.
Krynn is unable to have children of her own, but wants to care for children, so decided to help orphans.
