A screenshot from Cartoon Network's FusionFall of Dusty.Dusty is a 15 year old soldier from a future in which Fuse had won and the last of the humans were forced into space. They settled on a planet that was already inhabited by another species and went to war with them. They fought back in giant robots called ARCs, calling their army the Angels. They've been fighting for over a decade and the humans are nearing extinction from both war casualties and the dangers of being born in an non-Earth environment. His ashen skin is a result of space-birth, as well as the fact that he is infertile, meaning he cannot have children. He was the pilot of a Chaos ARC, the most powerful of the giant robots. During a battle he was knocked into a black hole and sent to the FusionFall time where he plans to help defeat Fuse to make sure his future never happens. He has a laid back, devil-may-care attitude, and tends to smoke a lot. He spends a lot of time in Goat's Junk Yard, where Megas reminds him of his own robot he piloted, which was all but disintigrated upon his arrival in their time.

Awesome. I know it probably won't matter to him much, but when your skin is already ashen, it's not very smart to smoke.

Dusty was born with that skin, and the smoke from his cigarettes is actually keeping him alive. It's the closest thing to the atmosphere of the planet he grew up on. Oxygen actually gags him.
