Description Bonnie quickly hid behind the door as soon as her dad and brother started yelling. She hates hearing Clemont and Meyer arguing, and whenever they do something like this, she hides on somewhere like the bathroom and doesn't come out of there until her brother and her father stop fighting or if she tries to cry to catch their attention. Both Meyer and Clemont are arguing because Clemont wants to go to his friend Jacob's cousin's birthday party, but Meyer immediately disagreed with the idea.

"When you'll be my age, you'll realize how dangerous is out there!" yelled Meyer.

"Dad! How many times do i have to tell you?! I know how to take care of myself! I'm nineteen, for God's sake!" shouted Clemont. "I thought we had that talk before! You agreed with me, didn't you?!"

"Don't you ever talk to me like that young man!" replied Meyer. "You never know what those people will do to you!"

"Of course i do!" replied Clemont. "How old do you think i am? 7?! Like Bonnie?! Like i said before, i'm nineteen, and only in a few months, like around June, i'll be twenty! Soon i'll become an adult dad! And you know how i take care of myself in public! I'm just going to Jacob's little cousin's party, which will last for about three. Freaking. Hours!"

Just then, their shouting got interrupted by crying that was coming from the bathroom. They go out to check, and see Bonnie crying. Clemont, feeling guilty, goes up to her, and gives her a hug. Guilt hit Meyer as well.

"Shhh..." shushed Clemont, petting Bonnie softly to calm her down. He knows she doesn't like to see them fighting or yelling at each other. Meyer kneels down next to them.

"Cupcake, we know you don't like to see us fighting. But fight is a natural part of life, and we can see it going on with every family." explained Meyer. "No one is perfect, and fights happen all the time, but then, they make up and everything is back to normal.

"I know but..." sniffled Bonnie. "Everytime you two fight, it brings me back memories when i was just a toddler."

Clemont realized what she was talking about. "I know honey. Mom was a really great person, and she and dad didn't deserve to be fighting like that. She left the family, and she's never coming back. But that doesn't mean the same thing will happen with any one of us."

"Really?" asked Bonnie, not looking up. She felt Clemont nod.

"Really pumpkin." said Meyer.

"And if a fight like this happen again, no need to be upset. It's normal for that to happen." assured Clemont, petting Bonnie's back softly. "Though you may still be as much as upset as you need to, because no one likes fighting with each other."

"O-okay." whimpered Bonnie, hugging Clemont's neck.

And they were all so frustated that Meyer decided to let Clemont go with Jacob to his cousin's party. They decided that they had enough of fighting for that day.
