Kithood:

Echomist was a very social and sharp-tongued kit. She would always tease her sister, Silentshade, for being the runt of the litter. She would always hang out with another group of kits and her brother, Whisperpaw, who is now deceased, and chase butterflies and cause trouble. She enjoyed her kithood, and enjoyed making trouble.

Apprenticehood:

Echomist was excited to become an apprentice. She was mentored by Rivertail, a brown tabby she-cat, who was very quiet, yet very strong and swift. She was a respectful she-cat who respected everyone. She would scowl Echomist whenever she made fun of Silentshade or would get in trouble for pranking some kits. Eventually, Echomist realized that she needs to be kind and she stopped making sun of Silentshade. Other then the fact that she teased her sister, they were actually pretty close when they were apprentices. One day, they were out at the river, and Whisperpaw slipped into the river. Shadowtalon, their father, leaped in to save his son. Unfortunately, the two drowned.

~ ~ A light breeze whispered in Echomist's ear and ruffled her fur as she headed down the dirt path that led to the river. Bright stars twinkled above in the dark indigo night sky. The moon cast pale, silvery light on the tall fronds of grass that swayed in the breeze and brushed against Echomist's fur. She slowed her walking pace as she approached the river, which was rippling slightly and sent flitting reflections on the grass.

Echomist sat on the riverbank and gazed into the river, her green eyes being lit up by the moonlight that shone down on RainClan territory. She let out a content sigh and closed her eyes, enjoying the sounds of nature. ~ ~
