after some thought i felt like making a more subtle version of my variations so here they are

they come with lil worldbuild-y blurbs and everything:

Cloud Zweilous are known for their attempts at harmony - whatever gene they got from their father gave them the urge to sing, just not the talent. Regardless, they are relatively docile for a dragon, and their coat is fluffy and soft to the touch.
Jungle Zweilous have long, sleek fur that clumps together in the shape of leaves. They use their heads as an extra pair of limbs, to climb trees and even leap around should they need to make a quick evasive maneuver.
Angel Zweilous are very sensitive to the changes of the weather, fluffing up with static should a storm be approaching. As their Cloud relatives, they are more docile than your regular Zweilous. Some of them develop a vestigial small pouch under their throats.
Desert Runners are called as such for the habit of standing on their abnormally strong back limbs and even run with them on short bursts. Unlike all other Zweilous variations, they are (gasp) bald.
Mask Zweilous have a deceivingly immense amount of fur, which they only showcase when they feel threatened. Or feel like scaring someone. Or feel like showing off. Or get cold.
Seaweed Zweilous have their fur covered in slightly venomous oil, causing it to appear slick and to droop down like wet seaweed. It’s recommended you only pet them on the snout or on their rump.
