I noticed that you have a black and white versione of this posted B4 the colored versione. is it safe to asume that you created it in black and white first and then colored it?
if so, can you give a few tips reguarding how it's done? what layers do you use to paint over the black and white base?

Well late but sure.
Backwards, for this one I set the line art in Multiply and paint in other layer under it. Well sometimes the line art is a bit to dark or bold, so you can use Levels too and take some black off the lines.

I think it explains things preatty well and I'm implementing it in my upcoming picture. to see if it's more efficient then my original way ( I sure hope so... I'd almost kill for a faster painting style without too much compromise reguarding quality )
