You know how some dogs flip their lids whenever they hear a vacuum cleaner? Parappa has that problem with Mettaton whom he sees as a big walking talking vacuum. He knows better but a part of him can't help it. Whenever Mettaton is around, it literally takes every bit of his will to not go crazy. For the sake of their jobs, Katy makes sure her friend keeps his composure around the boss bot.

Katy is a manager for the MTT resort's restaurant, the entertainment side at least, but she's got to answer to Mettaton. You can imagine what that's like.
