Thank you very much!
It's actually close to my childhood home. I recently moved away from home, but I still visit my parents once a week or so, and I went over the small hill that leads up to the road they live on - this was more or less the sight that met me a year ago or so...

Yeah, I'm currently preparing a presentation for an exam soon, and I'm reading through alot of myths and such - and I scooted over Atlas' punishment, so I actually used that reference on purpose - so it's briiliant that you noticed and got that out of it!

Nymphadorena In reply to PVDSHOI [2007-06-21 23:19:31 +0000 UTC]
no. i'd rather be at school with my friends. the only bad parts about school are...
jacob, waking up early and sleeping early, and math tests. i like the food, the classes, the teachers, the school, the trips, and especially my friends......

Wow - I'm glad you like it - I'm not that fond of it - I like learning, but I easily get bored or distracted - just can't focus for that long (we have 3 hour classes with a half an hour break in the middle) and it can b eexciting, but not for the most part! The food is too expensive and... the teachers are boring (and long-winded, well most of them), but trips and friends... Yeah, I guess they make it all worth it!!! But I'm fortunate enough to get to see alot of them this summer!!!! I hope you see a light and feel excited about some kind of summer 'roject'...

Not really - impossible parents are hard to work around... I haven't had that problem, well, I'm also a dude... But I can see myself being paranoid of my own daughter one day... 'Cause most boys are really not nice... And I mean that - it's true that they are only focused on one thing - it changes at one point (when they're about 19 or 20) until then they're way to immature to date in any way - but as long as you just wanna hang out with them, my advice would be to argue that fact to your parents; "the boys from my school are just my friends, and I'm very responsible and I'm not stupid, so Mom, and Dad, you can let me talk to a guy - don't worry..." - It probably won't help at all, but it couldn't hurt, right?!?

Nymphadorena In reply to PVDSHOI [2007-06-22 19:51:07 +0000 UTC]
what are they focused on? cause my guy friends are all super uke....and ewwww! dating!!! at 13!
there's nooooo way!
BUT, AMAZINGLY ENOUGH, THE GUYS IN MY GRADE (WELL, SOME OF THEM ANYWAY) ARE PRETTY MATURE..
sorry about the caps. it was on lock .
i'm not even going to try -_-. sorry, but that'll probably make them even more paranoid that they know i WANT to hang out with guys...

We always had girlfriends and boyfriends, but I think we started kissing around 10-11 and alot of teenagers starts geeting sexually active fourteen or fifteen in this country - at least, that's how it was ten years ago when I was that age. I think they're getting younger and younger today though... It's kinda scary!
My point was, that boys start thinking about sex around 11 or 12 (I think), so even though they seem harmless or mature - you have no idea what they're really thinking (hence your parents paranoia...) But most boys won't act on their hormons until they're, like I said, 14 or 15...
And I think you're right - it might cause more problems trying to explain yourself to your parents, but I think you should try anyways...

wow, really? in 8th grade, by the end of the year, there were a MILLION couples, and yes, they made out and stuff.
but that was 13 and 14, a little later.
besides. i got my 1st kiss at age 6 or 7. but those don't count, to me, cause we were stupid and little and didn't know what it meant
-_-

Sure, I got my first kiss in kindergarden, but that was as you say kinda silly. I guess kids feel encouraged, perhaps by eachother, to get serious way early, 'cause they're so fixated on adulthood - it's crazy... And parents are getting really sloppy in their parenting, so there's no real curfew and I guess some parents don't take the time or simply just assume their kids aren't involved in such things...
I don't know - The improtant thing is to find a middle ground of sorts, 'cause some parents are too little and your parents are too much... It's never easy...

i dunno how it happened. it just did . we didn't care and nothing was ever awkward.
but when my parents found out, they beat me up, so i don't think sloppy parenting is an issue here -_-

Oh, I know -but it is here - and the kids generally have less discipline then I had (and I didn't have alot).
In your case it's more the opposite and I can't really advice you - it's difficult to make them take it easy and relax (some parents just worry more than others, I guess).
