Ghostbusters 2016 was pure AIDS outside of the fight scenes.
But gender, time, and race bending can be done right (ex: the last dragon, Romeo + Juliet, and the wiz). Just don't shit on the originals and try to make something watchable.

Everyone hated Ghostbusters because it was constantly pointing fingers of blame, the jokes were cringe, and they turned a horror movie with comedy aspects into a comedy with slight horror aspects.
The cast being female has never been the problem,... the problem is they were ideologues with chips on their shoulders and an obsession with being zero fun while holding the goal of making being male into both a joke and an original sin to blame them for, while handing out straight up handjobs to anyone who isn't male.
They sucked because their premise was sexist and stupid from the start (that all men are not only pricks, but secretly working together as well).
