I made a facial expression guide of Mei. Works as a guide to illustrate her emotions as well. It seems that i still have to work on certain expressions. A lot of work to do. And i guess i've found a fitting colour palette for her face. Yay!Some of the expressions here has unique shadings. I used different light directions just to practice my shading. And about the Mandarin letter, i guess i'll have to work on the brush settings to mimic caligraphy brush.

Oof, its hard to pick anything that needs work. Your line weight is consistent, i really like that you've used different view points and theyre not all just 3/4 view, your shadows are all in the right places, theres so much i love! If i really had to pick at anything, id say making sure the iris is the same shape/size in both eyes. Its most noticeable in the first, fourth, and eigth pose but its really minor. You've done a great job!

This a great looking expression sheet.
It's a fantastic way to learn your subject as well as just great practice in general.
I love the shading of the expressions too, it's stuble but a nice touch to help them stand out more; especially on the Alert and Crying faces more heavy shadows.

Thank you very much. Yea those two expressions you mentioned got a special shadings for practice and also i had to improvise at something here. But i still couldn't make a better shading, i can't figure out the best blending mode, etc for the shadows. I also found it difficult to render the eye, because i can't image the shading around the eye in my mind.
