Description
Not much to say about this one, other than there is no post work. Trying a few things; lights and posing. Coiling a snake around something is still incredibly hard, but I gave it another shot. No post work because this was just a small practice/test.Related content

Not on this one, Ive already trashed the scene. But there will be more where this came from.

Glad to see you practicing!! That's really really really awesome of you!
Next step is to have a woman in the snake's coils!
Maybe something different though... like she's Jane from Tarzan and got caught in the tree with the snake constricting her while she hangs ... or.... some adventurer gets lost in the amazon and gets caught by a giant anaconda or something crazy O_o
Anyways, whatever you do I'm definitely looking forward to working with you in the near future!

Yep, next is a human
The hardest part is placing the snake's 'hip'. The hip is a segment of the snake that is in the middle of it, but it doesnt bend. So I have to position the middle of the snake first, and then wrap the 'neck' and 'tail' around the object. Ill have another go at it with a human.
I dont have a jungle model right now. So if you want the jungle to be used, then buying the environment will pay for the commission.

You should have done the panther facing the snake. That would have been more visually enthralling.

I dont think there was a way to make the lion face the snake. If the snake is wrapping around the body, the snake will always be behind the lion's head.

Nice job on the coiling. After learning about CAD at uni I can only imagine how hard this is
is there going to be a sequel?

I learned CAD on SolidWorks in highschool and had a ton of fun, its how I started off with 3D. Id prefer the Solidworks modeling system any day over hexagon.
There wont be a sequel to this one, Ive already trashed the scene. Ill try again with either a different animal or different pose so making a sequel or series would be easier. I had the snake in a funny-ish position that would have made movement extremely difficult.

I had fun with CAD too until uni had the bright idea to team me up with one really good guy, one lazy guy and one utter retard (who sabotaged us later on) and then gave us a file with over 200 components and a few instructions and demanded us to assemble a bloody helicopter

Thats why I hate working in groups. Ive had similar problems with every single group project I was in. If you ask me; I would prefer to build a helecopter in CAD by myself rather than in an unco-operative group.

In the end I was better off with the group because the deadline was as good as impossible to match on my own. One of the group members actually did better than me. We formed a group inside the group and did all the important stuff, letting the lazy boy do the not so hard to do stuff and kept the retartd away from important stuff as good as possible.
The finale was that at the last day of the project, le retart "worked" (sabotaged us) from 8 till 12 and let behind a mess that took 3 hours to clean up (doing it all over again) and then we had one hour lunch break after that we worked until 18h (when the other guy left) and my best group member and I worked contunuously until midnight which resulted in an 15h work day.
