Description
A new model I bought today. This is the Michael 5 model from daz. I really needed a good male texture for closeups and shirtless shots (like in a bellyThis was a test shot to see how the skin would look. And one predator was just a little too curious to just leave...

Maybe underwear (I do have some), but torn up pants inside a belly will look better

Oh yeah! It'd look like he's being digested :3

I take it you like the idea of dragons having slow but thorough and highly efficient digestive systems?
Haha, five to nine days is my typical timeframes for a dragon to digest a light meal, and if they completely gorge themselves, they will only need to feed once a month.

PWRof3D In reply to RaeThalis [2013-04-19 21:06:57 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it makes sense to have a longer digestion time. A large prey like a human should take a bit of time for a slender dragon to digest, and the longer digestion, the more energy they can drain.
Ive been warming up to the dragon vore. I still dont think Ill do a black dragon, but thats better than "no dragons".
Oh, and Im going to fix Rae's size. Instead of scaling him (and Dravec) to 200%, Ive gone down to 150%, which is pretty close to the correct size. Ill probably adjust his size after the series with the driver is done (and we get out of the Aquadon)

My old scalesona was a black dragon. More specifically: a black, four legged, winged dragon. I just don't want to see my old scalesona as a man eating predator. Maybe if it was wingless, or no horns, or some other obvious difference and I may consider a black scaled pred.
I used to not like any dragon vore for this reason, but I'm getting over that.

He could be a supporting character
Maybe he grew up around humans and their society, and thus refrains from eating them

Maybe, I like the texture, and I want to use it. a vegan dragon...
Nah, just doesn't like humans taste wise

Nuu, not a vegan... He just doesn't nom humans
Gargoyle Hounds, tacos... Stuff like that
(Also can you hide my previous comment [link] )
Haha, the Dragonology series said something similar about the Western/European dragons - that they will eat humans yes, but rarely because we taste too bitter
Also I just noticed that blue is just barely bigger than that human. I think that he'll keep that dragon's stomach busy for a good nine to eleven days!

Yeah, just not humans. Even then, probably only implied 'vore' for the black one where you dont even see him eat a hound. (maybe tacos, or steak, I do have a steak prop )
And that human is pretty muscular, so that should factor in the digestion time.
(and hidden)

Yup, making a lovely bulge in the dragon's midsection for a good four or five days before it starts to shrink a bit

I need to make some good bulges. I haven't done so recently. Maybe one of my next deviations I'll do a little scene of this conversation, with a red dragon (and a sliding throat bulge) is offering a black one a human...

You should really name this blue dragon
Haha, personally I can't draw or write about a generic character or creature without me somehow growing fond of it.. I always have to name them, give them a brief history, some basic likes and dislikes... And then before I know it they're an offficial character of mine
Is almost impossible for me to make disposable characters or one-time characters. I gave them life, so it almost pains me to deprive them of that shortly after creating them.
Haha... *ahem* Anyway. I don't really like the blue mouth, seems unnatural - even for a dragon

Actually, I find it a bit easier to use a nameless pred/prey. Mostly since these are models that all look the same, there isnt much to make them different. Sure, if I were to spend some extra time on morphing the face, then it becomes more of a character.
I don't really like the blue mouth, seems unnatural - even for a dragon
Says the one with a blue mouth
Its why I liked the red skin the most: all of the textures for this dragon do that. The green's mouth is slightly green, the blue is more blue, and the black one is fairly dark. The red looks pretty natural, so I use that one the most.

It's my tongue that is blue
I just get the feeling most of the dragon skins were Hue/Sat adjustments and they never bothered to tweak the mouths. Adjusting the textures in photoshop (Like I did with the Anaconda/RockPython model getting it to use the Morhping Python's mouth) - or just using the default subdragon texture in the InnerMouth slot instead. ^^

I could try, but I bet the blue and fleshy colors wont mix well. There may be a cut off point where there is an obvious line between the textures.

What I'd do personally is open both textures in Photoshop (Or any other image editing program with layers and layer masks) and put the blue one as the base and the default one (Or the red one) on top of it. Apply a Layer Mask to the top one and invert it so that it's completely hidden.
Then take a soft round airbrush set to a low opacity, and just paint back the mask on the mouth area to gradually reveal the flesh again. Once it gets to the edge of the mouth where the scales are again, just be more subtle and careful.
That's how I usually add stripes and things to critters, or grunge and wearing/mold/etc to walls and floors after the final render is complete ^^

I know I could do that, although I dont think my photoshop has layer masks
Or it does and I forget how to use them
I could just select the blue mouth and change its hue. Or be a little more complicated and duplicate the layer, erase everything but the mouth and then do the hue over the original. Or *realizing that what I just said is practically what you said* I could do what you said but without the mask

Photoshop Elements doesn't have Layer Masks I think. You could just erase it normally, but that would mean you'd have to be a lot more careful. Layer Masks allow for non-destructive editing so if you make a mistake while erasing something you can just paint it back as easily as you erased it.
Black = Hidden
White = Visible
