Description I decided to take the spino from my last image Β and animate him. Looking back I would have changed a few things: I would have added a building in the alley so there wasn't that weird blank space in between the buildings, and I would have fixed the last few frames; the head makes a funny move and I would have added a little belly jiggle at the very end.

But I do like how it came out in the end. The neck movements came out much better than anticipated.

So why is the prey naked? Well, technical difficulties. Daz is funny about parented items. The man is 'parented', or stuck, to the spino's head. As the head moves, he moves. But since he's parented, it must throw something out of whack because any clothing item doesn't properly fit anymore. If I unparent him, the clothes fit fine but he no longer follows the head (unless I do some serious fixes to follow the head exactly). So rather than mess with it too much, I just took off the shirt. There was hair too, but the hair adds time to the render, and sinceΒ you only see him for a second I didn't think I should waste the time.

Still, very successful. I started on it yesterday, finished the animation yesterday, and rendered today. Sure, that's fast, but I put aside homework to do so. Maybe not the best choice Ive ever made...

Oh well, enjoy! I managed to make the size a little bigger than some of my previous ones. I plan on getting a tower computer (hopefully before next year), so animations will be more possible.

One question I had: is the moving camera ok? Moving the camera like this helped me sell the whole "Its Alive!" thing, whereas a still camera would catch body parts that weren't moving. But the moving camera can be distracting. What do you guys think of it?

I think I spend more time fiddling with d-formers in Daz trying to get clothing to play nicely with my pred's maws than anything else, but I'm still pretty new at this.

What I've been doing is parenting the clothing to the prey and then parenting the prey to the pred's head and I haven't had any problems in my poses... haven't tried animation yet. Β My copy of Daz came with a 30-day trial of Animate 2 that expired before I decided to try it out so I'm still debating whether to take the plunge and buy it or try something else, like Carrara.

The problem with just parenting the clothes is they wont follow the limb movements. You have to 'fit to' to make the clothes work like clothes.

I do the same thing, I fit the clothes to the character and then parent the character to the predator. Single renders are easy: if the clothes act funny, I unparent the character from the predator just before the render, so it looks natural. I cant do that in an animation obviously.

If you are looking to upgrade from daz, or upgrade daz a lot (by buying lots of plugins), I recommend you get Poser. Poser uses the same models, and it comes with animation tools and lots of other plugins (hair/fur, cloth, and animating is built in). Its like a fully fleshed out Daz studio. I don't have poser, but I hear animating in that program is much better.

I think the camra movement was good. And this is amazing in general; there needs to be more good 3d vore animations out there!

You should consider using the 'group' feature in daz to get the paired movement of head to prey that you want, then the parenting of clothes to the prey should work as you want. (Theoretically)

I think the camera moving is fine as long as it's not jerky or anything.

I'm pretty new to Daz myself but I haven't had any issues with clothing when I parent my prey to my pred's head. Β Then again I haven't tried animation yet.

It may be the predator, it may be the clothes, Im not sure. Sometimes I do get lucky and the clothes stay on right.
