Kylie gasped and froze, putting one hand up to her head as she struggled to remember. She’d been sitting on the steps of the trailer, brushing her hair and getting ready for the show later tonight, when all of a sudden a flood of unfamiliar memories and emotions had hit her. Something about a magic ritual, and mind changes, and some guy named Kyle.....

Kylie struggled to make sense of it all. Her memories growing up had always been strangely...foggy, but she’d never really worried about it. After all, she was busy enough as an actress, model and hostess. She’d had to work her way up from being an unknown talent to becoming one of the “most promising young starlets today” as one magazine had put it. She simply couldn’t understand who this Kyle person was or why she suddenly had memories of being a boy(of all things, she scoffed as she fidgeted with the fringe of her dress).

Kylie decided to call her mother(and manager) Teresa and ask her to come help. Her concerned mother hopped in her car and drove out to the concert Hall where the awards show was being held. After hearing Kylie’s panicked account of the strange memories, she had sighed and told her daughter she had something that would help. Handing her her phone, she instructed Kylie to watch a video she had found. It was a mediation trick, Teresa said.

Kylie stared into the screen and watched the swirling lights and colors. She slowly felt herself becoming calmer and more relaxed, much to her surprise. The whole “strange memories” thing just didn’t seem as important anymore. She closed her eyes and slumped over as the hypnotic effects began to kick in.

Teresa sighed again. She’d always wanted to be a part of the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle, and when she had found a spell-book online(she was still amazed it hadn't turned out to be a scam) she’d jumped at the change. Her son Kyle had constantly been in trouble with the law, and the chance to allow him to start over convinced her that her idea was a good one. Casting the spell one night as he slept, Teresa had been shocked to see the long, flowing golden locks sprout from his scalp as his body rapidly transformed into a beautiful woman.

After that, Teresa has set up the numerous hypnosis tapes she’d purchased in previous weeks leading up to this. Bit by bit, she conditioned Kyle to think he’d always been Kylie. And it had worked perfectly until today.

“Guess I’ll need to restart the conditioning” Teresa murmured as she fired up the hypnosis tape and placed headphones in the sleeping Kylie’s ears. “Don’t worry hunny, by tonight all those scary memories will be gone, and you can just enjoy your new life.”
