Back with a Porco Rosso!!I liked this Miyazaki, even if the end is pretty wasted! That's only my opinion, but I think it could have been really better...
Anyway the main story is absolutely gorgeous!

Never seen this particular Hayao Miyazaki movie, although my favourite is probibly Howl's Moving Castel. Cool drawing though, you have managed to capture the style of the anime.

I agree, the ending could have been better, but other than that it's totally awesome!
I like what you did with this. The technique you used is perfect for Porco, but I think you could have made the connection between the smoke and the cigarette clearer.

In fact, I didn't want to focus on the cigarette, I just love gouache and I wanted to put a smoke effect just to paint with^^
But I agree, and I find stupid that the smoke and cigarette are not on the same side XD

One of my first animation films that I'll remember is Porco Rosso and it's been my farourite ever since. I think the techniques used in this piece are absolute fit, but what I miss is some kind of connection between the smoke and the cigarette. Also, the shoulder could be a bit wider. Expression and clothes are wonderful, also, I like the lines that are full of expression.
