I'm not the artist but I can give you a tip. Work large, save small is one thing.
Also it depends on what tools you use.
Tiny brushes, tiny markers and nib pens. Depending on what you like or are confortable with there are ways to go about it.
Best thing you can do is to just try new stuff. It's tricky at first but it gets fun.

Despite some good music, pretty good films like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and anything with Molly Ringwald in it, and the video arcade boom of the era, I wouldn't really choose the Eighties as a decade I would like to revisit.
