He is currently owned by yacht club games. I am aware that this guy created him: 
but from interviews and discussions yacht club has exclusive rights to him.

No he has not? What are you talking about, it's not even the First or last cameo Reize Seatlan did.

He was on Valdis story first, and his last cameo was on Children of Zodiarcs

Yacht Club Games owns the "Shovel Knight" version. Not the character entirely. I still have the freedom and rights to the character outside of the game, including my own project.

Actually, YCG owns Dark Reize. Had nothing to do with the design of that, so they can get the full credit.

Glad you liked it . I really enjoy shovel knight (if it’s not apparent lol) and Reize was one of my favorite bosses next to Spector knight. Thanks for designing a cool character
