Answer - A ton of feathers
The feathers where weighed in europe where a ton = 1000 kg (2205 lb), the rocks came from the US where 1 ton = 2000 lb (907 kg).
Haha bet you said they were both the same!

Lovely piece ..great work ..you are the master
As for your question ~ I'm not sure ..but I’ve been told it's hard to carry a ton of gold, ..but, on the other hand, I’ve heard it said that it's just as hard with the weight of lead.
So, I think I’ll buy my feathers in the US and sell them by the ton in Europe ..

Beautiful work, love the sepia tones and I learned something new today about the difference between European and US ton measurements – it gave a fun twist to your question and answer!

The ton measurement is very confusing and used to be worse, in the UK (and I think in other parts of the world that used the imperial mesurments) the ton was 2400 lb, so it was larger than the US ton and the metric ton!

omg @ your answer
it's a really nice piece, you did a great job on the manip! It really looks like she's balancing the scales in her hands. Although she seems to carry the tons pretty easily
