Description Edit: To all the people adding this to their "OTP" or "Moxanne" collections: this is not ship art! I'm begging you........... I mean, I can't stop you, but just so you know...

Hey all, hope you had a fantastic holiday season.

As teased in my last post, now for my extensive review of the new Five Nights at Freddy's game.

I'm just kidding.

This was my first time drawing fnaf characters and I'll have to say, Roxy and Monty are looking pretty good For real though, why did they have to make the robots so sexy?? I'm not a furry (at least that's what I try to tell myself) but I have to admit that the main four animatronics are really good looking.

Okay I wasn't kidding after all, here's my review (plus a brief history of my experience with the series):

I downloaded the game on day one on my PS4, since me and my brother both used to be pretty big fans of the series. I've been there from the start, meaning I've watched Markiplier play the first game all the way back in 2014. But to be completely honest, I've lost all interest in the series shortly after the fourth game dropped. Sure, I checked in on the series from time to time ("oh shit, they released another game??") but I I wasn't really that interested anymore.

Until last summer. A time in my life where I was so fucking bored that I rewatched all of Phineas and Ferb, started writing a novel and last but not least, started reading up on Five Nights at Freddy's lore when I didn't have anything to do at work (thank god for TV Tropes). I actually got really invested in the series again. My brother visited me over his summer vacation and I proposed that we could watch some Let's Plays of the series for old times sake. He said yes, so I put on a playlist of all Five Nights at Freddy's games in order, played by a Youtuber named Dawko.

That guy is so full of unbridled joy and enthusiasm, so it was a blast watching him over the next few days. At the time the newest games were Fnaf VR and Fnaf AR. I wasn't really interested in the Augmented Reality game, but Fnaf VR blew me away. Like a whole wave of childhood nostalgia washed over me.

After that, I also checked out some fan games, like "The joy of creation", "Five Nights at Candy's" or "The Freddy Files". But the one thing that I enjoyed the most out of all of them and that I enjoy probably even more than the original Freddy games is the "Dayshift at Freddy's" trilogy. I watched one episode of Dawko playing the third game because it looked kinda fun, but then immediately went "holy shit I gotta check this out for myself". Since the games are basically visual novels with some other genres sprinkled in (like RPG and tycoon game) and not scary jumpscare filled spookfests, I could finally play a Fnaf fan game myself! Yahoo! But I'm just noticing that this was supposed to be a review of Security Breach and not a fan game review. But I'll talk more about DsaF and how much it means to me later, I promise.

Anyway, now to get to the newest game in the series...

I've never played a Freddy's game before because they were just way to stressful for me. But after seeing the trailers for Security Breach I thought "Well this doesn't look too scary!" Hm.

I would soon change my mind about that. But not in the way you might think...

If you've seen any gameplay of the game, you've probably noticed that it's quite buggy. Unfinished even. Just all around wasted potential. And I tell you that as someone who has played the game for well over 20 hours and who has gotten (almost) all of the endings.

The scariest thing weren't the animatronics, though I have to admit that the section where you have to run away from the Endoskeletons for the first time almost gave me a heart attack. The scariest thing were the countless minutes or probably even hours of my life I had to waste staring at windows slide shows or becoming stuck in walls or bathroom stalls. The worst thing though, was playing through the pretty stressful last boss fight only to be met with a black screen and some noises. This happend multiple times, across multiple endings I tried to unlock, which forced me to look them up on Youtube. The game also crashed on me once after I accidentally died in the first Princess Quest game.

Which reminds me, the first impression of the game we got was also a black screen. At first we thought it was a feature and that we were probably about to get jumpscared, but after restarting the game after staring at that black screen for a couple of minutes we found out that there was supposed to be a cutscene introducing us to the characters.

And that brings me to my next points, the characters. I really really like them, especially the four main animatronics. The rest though... We didn't really get to see a lot of them. I really thought we'd see a lot more of Vanny and Vanessa, since they were so heavily focused on in promotional material. Oh well.

The environment, the character design, the animations, the lighting (well for the most part) and the voice acting were spectacular though.

All in all, I'd still recommend playing it, just maybe not on a PS4. If you don't have a high end gaming PC or a next gen console, just watch Dawkos Let's Play series. It's a much better viewing experience, trust me.

tl;dr: Security Breach is a very broken game, but I still had a lot of fun with it, mostly because of the very charismatic (and in the case of the main four animatronics, sexy as hell) cast of characters and the laughs me and my brother shared over the ridiculous glitches we ran into.

Seriously though, I got jumpscared by a garbage can. I've never laughed at something harder in my entire life.

I specifically chose Monty and Roxy because they just seem like a dynamic duo. Besties even. (And don't ask why I gave Monty bigger tits than Roxy, because that honestly explains itself)

My brother and me are already speculating what kind of crazy shenanigans they might introduce in the DLC that's supposed to come out for the game. Well, but before that comes out, they probably have other, more pressing issues to work on...

I'll try drawing my favorite Fnaf characters for my next masterpiece. Let's see if you can already figure out who that might be

Thanks for reading and if you don't hear from me in the next few days, happy new year!
