A pulp novel manipulation. The image was heavy influenced by the dark photo realistic illustrations of Tim Bradstreet.Created in Photoshop using various filters and photo stock.

Love the feel of this - I'm also a Bradstreet fan. This also gives me a good Mack Bolan vibe too.

Thanks mate, glad you like the manipulation. Tim Bradstreet never fails to impress me with his detailed illustration work, I also thought he did a fantastic job on the recent Punisher movie posters

Wow.
Pretty excellent manip.
Doing good looking skin with just filters is pretty challenging task.
So you use same filter setups for skin and jacket on the main char?

Sorry, I'm not quite following when you refer to "skin"
Basically, I tend to use high resolution photo stock, and then incorporate a mixture of Photoshop filters to the main character, which gives the image a comic book art style.
Afraid at present I'm not the most skilled manipulator. So for creativity I try and use my illustration skills

Can't think of too many better things to be influenced by than "the dark photo realistic illustrations of Tim Bradstreet." Really like the design of this one.
