yeah your are right its a starship trooper inspiration to me, I was disappointed of verhoeven vision ,
it was in some point good but ,not faithful to heilein novel that i very love ,so maybe in a not so far future , some director will be more

the "starship troopers Chronicles:roughnecks" CG series is faithfull to the books more so than the D- rated film.

Well to be fair... that's usually how it goes sadly...
But also, I do like the fact that in the novels, the soldiers are wearing more advanced armaments than plassteel chest plates and padded helms. Cause when fighting giant insects with razor sharp blades and giant crushing mouths, wearing Urban equipment is the most PRACTICAL way of defense.

sadly, my dvd collection from the CG series got damaged, and is currently impossible to replace...
in my Faves/scifi, there be other armored soldiers there from several talented artists, they are equally as good.

That sucks... hopefully you can find other media platforms that showcase the show. I certainly hope so, I wanna see it now.
One of my favorite times where human soldiers are given advanced suits of armor to combat far more dangerous opponents was in Edge of Tomorrow. Not the original one, but the movie with Tom Cruise.
I like how even though these suits are cool and effective, they're still rushed in production and have a lot of flaws.
