Description
On April 9th, my sweet mare, Goldie, passed away. She died peacefully of old age (30+ years) out in her pasture. It hurt. It still hurts, but her passing hasn’t qwelled my passion. Because of her, my dream came true. She came into my life when I was considering hanging my helmet up for the last time. She gave me what I needed as she was gentle and forgiving of my faults. She taught me persistance and patience, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Because of her, I was able to grow as an equestrian, and feel I could ride with the "best of ‘em" without feeling sub-par. She cemented my love for horses, and I couldn't have asked for a better first horse.

She was the best 9 years of my life, and of all the horses out there I’m glad she was mine.
