Piece #5- As An Angel She Realized Why...- “Her body now luminous in the sky, ascending with white wings, as an angel she soon realized why...”

The sun high in the sky showered the passing clouds with a silver lining. Rays of light traversed the grass for just moments as the whistling wind rattled the leaves of the trees on this warm spring day. All this combined creating an atmosphere of serenity as Hye-Mi stared upwards captivated by the heavens. Looking ahead to a see a familiar face she smiled. Kevin smiled back, standing before her and telling her to hold out her hands and close her eyes. In that moment she imagined he would confess his love she so eagerly awaited. In that moment she felt arms wrapping around her. For just that one moment she felt a chill, a sudden sharp pain, and a cold throughout her body... Her eyes opened blurry at first into a vision of a dream. The heavens opened up before her, a circle of light breaking up the clouds and the blue of the sky. It beckoned to her, enchanted by a feeling of euphoria unlike anything she had ever felt before. She felt her body lifting, floating, rising steadily towards this light, her body pulsing with rapture as she took alfight.

Her body now luminous in the sky,

ascending with white wings,

as an angel she realized why...

The earth beneath her feet, beings of light ascending all around.

A final look into the horizon, motionless and devoid of sound.

A light poured out from her heart, tears ran down from her eyes.

An image flashed before her, the image of her demise.

Shocked and betrayed by powerful emotions she had felt with Kevin.

She couldn't grasp why he would force her away prematurely,

into the light of heaven...
