Markus Brantly was born into a seemingly normal family. The Brantly's were a large family that had a dark secret. They all lived on the same property and Markus was the odd one out and never got along with his family. For some odd reason Markus noticed that his family would worship the tree on the hill in their backyard. Markus never took part in it no matter how much his family pushed him to. Markus would watch from the window as his family would string up a sheep and drag it helplessly to the top of the hill by the tree. They would gather around it holding hands and pray for awhile. Then he would notice they would go behind the tree for a couple minutes and his dad would come back into the house and wash his hands. Markus noticed the blood in the sink and never wanted to even know what his family where doing to the sheep they brought up. This tradition would only happen once a month at night during the full moon. They lived out in the country and their weren't many good people who where similar to Markus and shared his interest. Markus ended up hanging out with the trouble makers of the community and they would cause all sorts of mischief. One night Markus and his friend decided to investigate the tree and chill out there. One of his friends was smoking a cigarrete and accident threw it near the tree and the tree strangely and quickly started to catch fire and his friends ran away as fast as they could leaving Markus. His family cried out in agony as blood started to run from their eyes and they all collapsed at once near the tree. Markus was confused as his whole family seemingly died on the spot. Suddenly his vision started to blur and he fell unconscious. He woke up and was in his bed but something was wrong and he had a bad feeling. He heard the cries of his family members from outside and quickly ran to help. Markus was being strangely pulled closer to the tree which looked odd but was tough to make out as it was surrounded by a thick fog. When he got close he was in disbelief as the fog cleared. It was something out of a nightmare...he heard his family member's voices as if they where calling for his help in agony coming from the odd shaped fruit on the tree. His heart dropped when he heard "Markus come join the family", and then he became paralyzed from the waist down. As he tried desperately to drag himself away three human like structures from the bottom of the tree sprung to life, a strange eye structure opened up from the trunk of the tree releasing a horrific screeching sound. Markus struggled as he was viciously devoured by a split faced being. Then Markus's soul became trapped forever as a new fruit blossomed onto a branch of the tree, his fate was sealed.... therefore completing the family tree...
