Description A reupload with better quality and a revised story, Happy Holidays!

On the outskirts of the woods lived a family like any other, a father, a mother, and a daughter. They all got along well and lived in a happy household. But life likes to throw unexpected curveballs at times to break this balance, without warning, without reason... It was the beginning of the winter season when everything changed, the mother became ill. The father became distressed by this as he wasn't sure what was wrong. He contacted many doctors but none of them could provide a definite answer on her condition which had left her almost completely immobile. The stress slowly began to eat away at the father, he soon took on a habit of drinking to coop with the emotional distress he was in. This situation had a great impact on the daughter as she could not comprehend why suddenly things have changed around her, why mommy was sick, and why daddy became irritable. The daughter would continuously ask the father about mommy seemingly almost every second of everyday. This wore down the father, he began to show aggression in his responses towards the daughter. Now whenever the daughter would make a mistake or distract the father he would become mad and yell, mostly during the times he would be drinking. The daughter would then retreat into her room with tears in her eyes. though they would soon fade as she would then soon forget and escape from reality, talking to her stuffed rabbit, who she became really close with it during these dark days. As the mother's condition was appearing to have worsened, the doctors reassured him that if he continued to pay for their remedies they would cure her. This only angered the father even more as he could see that the medicine was not working as it should, believing that these doctors where only using him at his most vulnerable. The enraged father did away with the doctors, and only hoped things would get better with a bottle in hand... This eventually lead to a single night in which he would do the unthinkable...

On this particular night around Christmas he was drinking heavily when the daughter appeared to him with her rabbit in hand after sneaking outside at night to play. She repeatedly said to him “Is mommy going to get better?” “I want mommy back!!!”, soon he hit his breaking point. Lashing back he said “Mommy is not going to get better!!!!! Life isn't all sunshine and rainbows you know, I'm here now taking care of you and that’s all that matters!!!!”. After the daughter yelled “That is not true!!!I want her better!!!! I want her back now!!! Suddenly the devil flashed in the father eyes as he then smacked the daughter with such force she collapsed onto the floor. Quivering and standing onto her feet tears rolled down her eyes and blood from her nose. The father was in shock and hesitated as the daughter ran out of the house, without looking back she ran with her doll into the woods, disappearing into the cold winter night. After aimlessly running for many hours the daughter was lost, cold, scared, disoriented, and hurt. Grasping her rabbit tight through the dark forest she tripped over a branch landing face first onto the ground. At the point of exhaustion the daughter did not have the energy to stand up. Laying sideways on the ground all she could hear were her short exhausted breaths. Snow flakes fell from above... Her vision soon became blurry from tears forming, at the thought of never being able to return home. Never to see her mommy recover and never see her daddy again... The exhaustion began to overcome her, the daughter's eyes began to shut slowly. Her last sight through the darkness and the falling snow was of a faint but glorious light in the distance...

The light of a winter's dawn touched the daughter's face as she awoken to a delicious scent, uncovering the quilt she was wrapped in her surrounding came as a surprise to her. There was an aura of warmth all around, the walls where made of wood and there was carrot shaped furniture scattered about. The daughter noticed her stuffed rabbit was nowhere to be found, panicking she rummaged about the room and still couldn't find it. Running into the kitchen of this strange place the daughter paused, a wide grin covered her face and a sparkle was in her eye. There was her rabbit, larger than it formally was it turned and smiled at the daughter as it prepared a delectable breakfast of carrot themed treats. The daughter ran up and hugged the rabbit, who could now talk and interact with her. For a seemingly endless amount of time the daughter and the rabbit talked and played throughout the rabbit's house and the surrounding forest. Here the animals played and adventured all day while the daughter frolicked around with her rabbit friend in this woodland paradise. The daughter was happy again, something she hasn't felt since the days before the mother became sick. It was a quiet night in the woodlands at the rabbit's house, everything changed once again. This time the daughter actually started to remember her true home and how much daddy must have been worried about her, she knew deep down daddy was never the sort of person he was that night. Reminiscing and remembering the good times, she felt ready to forgive him. The daughter begged the rabbit to let her bring daddy to this place, excitedly telling the rabbit about how great her daddy was. But for once the usually jolly rabbit had a solemn look on its face. The rabbit told her it was not possible to bring her father here but that she can bring him to her father. The daughter understood as they walked towards the mysterious back door of the rabbit's house which she never seen open.

The rabbit grabbed the daughter's hand as the door opened with a blinding light. As the light faded the daughter found her self in the wintry forest, in her hand was the rabbit, returned to its doll state it could talk no more... With a renewed energy the daughter began to walk forwards, this part of the forest seemed very familiar to her as she walked ahead through silent woods. Reaching the edge of the woods near her home she gasped as she saw daddy in the distance.  On his knee he was sobbing loudly before a stone. Before the daughter called out to daddy she hesitated as the rabbit doll became suddenly warm in her hand. A white light then shot out of the doll and lands next to the father. The white lustrous figure of an angel appears beside the father, its glowing hand resting on his shoulder. The angel gestures the daughter to approach and she slowly approaches. About halfway there the daughter felt a familiar energy, and even closer finally saw the face of the angel...The angel bearing the face of her mother. The daughter is speechless as her mothers smiles at, one final yet joyful  tear running down the face of the mother as she began to ascend....Into light of the heavens the mother faded away and in her last moments in this plane assuring the stunned daughter as a whisper echoed through her head in her mothers voice "One day we will all go up, that day we will be be reunited, till then never let your smile fall even in the worst of times my love" . The daughter stood there staring into the sky, the only words trembling from her mouth “Mommy...”. The father then turns around noticing his daughter's voice in disbelief and rushes to his daughter, hugging her and spinning her around in the air the father's sadness was broken and he was filled with a renewed energy... He turned solemn for a moment as he knew he had to break to the news to his daughter about her mother's passing, but instead she hugged him tightly and said “Its ok I know mommy's in a better place now... Someday we will get to see her again”. From then on everything became as it once was and the tension in the house had disappeared. Though missing a certain someone in the picture now the father and daughter where closer then ever. At night the daughter would hug her stuffed rabbit as she fell asleep and in her dreams they would meet and frolic about in the forest haven...

Really? I think you're great at backgrounds when you do make them. It's really hard to plan and draw backgrounds but you work it out well.
