I was wondering if it would be okay to use one of your Robby pictures for a space contest over at Gimpusers.com. I'm going to try and recreate the movie poster using photos but I need a decent image of Robby to start with. No worries if you rather I didn't use it.

Really nice work - I finally bought a copy of the movie about a month ago, and saw the entire movie instead of just bits and pieces on late night cable. Great film, and really see why Robby is so popular!

Yep, also one of the first psychological thrillers in a way- "Monsters from the Id!" Polar lights also makes a 1/72 C-57D but I haven't convinced myself to pick that one up yet.

Thanks! This was done before I had discovered Alclad metallizers. Were I to do it again, I'd use the high polish chrome on the rotating antennae and an aluminum finish on his head.

He's actually 3 laws safe so nothing to fear from him. The movie its from was one of the first to popularize Isaac Asimov's 3 laws for robots. Its called Forbidden Planet, a classic movie.

You're in for a treat if you like old sci-fi that makes you think. Also a young Leslie Nielsen has the lead.
