While most Great Beasts are considered highly aggressive and territory, there are a few in the world who can be considered passive, and whose existence can even be argued to be a net positive for humanity. The coral-colored Ceton is one such creature.

Ceton has a hyper-advanced sensory system that that can locate areas of specific chemical compounds when they collide with water. What this effectively means is that elements such as plastics, oil and chemicals toxic to a sea's ecosystem fire up on Ceton's radar, and it will swim straight towards the largest source. Then, Ceton will begin to devour as much of the toxic contents in the water as it can sense, converting it into energy for itself, making Ceton a monster that eats pollution.

Ceton played a large role in Earth's inhabitants being forced to invent and invest in new energy sources that were not targetable by Ceton. While Ceton did clean up oil spills and trash islands, it also had no qualms in targeting oil rigs and ships at sea, sometimes swallowing them whole, people and all.

Ceton's entire oceanic system is part of its territory, and it is often swimming from one corner of the globe to another in its hunt for pollutants in waters. Companies that attempted to pull processing plants further inland would find Ceton on their shores, walking on land towards rivers and lakes whose toxin-filled waters would spread into the sea and alert Ceton. Ceton always takes the shortest route to a new feeding ground, and if that means walking on land to cross a continent shore to shore, it will do that. A touring venture had been formed out of predicting Ceton's path and forming watch parties (from safe distances) to witness the beast move across the land. This had made Ceton a popular Great Beast sight in internet culture. However, sometimes a city or facility will be in Ceton's predicted path, forcing evacuations or more preferably Astral Drift Heroes to come and try to alter Ceton's course to avoid infrastructure.
