Some coloring ideas of GFantis. I had some extra time so I colored up the other sketches besides the titular kaiju, with some different coloring techniques
I was thinking of coloring the 'bumps', but every time I did it made him look a bit too cartoony.
Plus, glistening ship thing..

Awesome! I "created" GFANTIS with J.D. Lees, the publisher of G-FAN magazine. Well - sorta. I did a comic feature in G-Fan called "EGO TRIP" with a pilot vs. Godzilla. When Toho said no more Godzilla Fan Fiction, we decided to flesh out the magazine's mascot (which at the time was just used as an icon and in ads for G-FEST.) I wrote a story with some input from J.D. and illustrated the first few story arcs. GFantis' Origin, GFantis vs. Tiamat (Originally supposed to be Godzilla vs. Ghidrorah), GFANTIS Vs. Jormundgandr (Midgard Serpent) which was 100% photo manipulation with sculptures and GFANTIS Returns which was supposed to lead into GFANTIS vs. Quetzalcoatl the Winged Serpent. The main protagonist was fighter pilot, "D.W. Smith" (named after one of my Commanders in the Air Force).
