Yeah I sold my 400D + BG-E3 + twin lens kit + 1GB + Lowepro Orion Trekker Bag for $1700

Found a 30D + BG-E2 + 2 Batts for $1400 and spent $236.50 on Manfrotto 190XPROB Legs + 804RC2 Head

I have a small idea of how to use it... lol

I have to say though that the light meter on it is so much more accurate than the one of the 400D and I'm happy using the 30D with or without the grip, whereas with the 400D it was grip or nothing.

Come around some time and play with it

Yeah I'm looking at getting one at some point. I'd like to use it as a portrait lens more than anything. Nice smooth bokeh with the Canon 100/2.8M mmmm

Save up and get the MT-24EX I tried it out last Sunday with an MP-E 65mm and it was like using a microscope with the sun attached to it lol.

You buying it new or second hand? If you don't mind grey (imported) stock try out this place [link] they're in North Ryde and have fantastic prices. e.g. $749.00 for 100/2.8 Macro and the MR-14EX $739.00

Personally I prefer buying second hand as most photographers look after their gear and you get at least 30% off. Most of the time it's within warranty too.

Come talk to me on msn if you want an idea of prices dude

Oh and also consider buying from overseas. Long as you keep the purchase under $1000 AUD you won't get hit with GST.
[link] B&H Photo is prolly the place to go. They're in New York and have great great prices. A lot of the time it's cheaper to buy there and import than to buy here. Also if you buy American stock you get an international warranty with it so if something goes wrong just take it to the service centre here in Ryde.
