Description
My awesome costume that I spent months and months and months making, at the expense of all other aspects of my life. I think it turned out flippin sweet. Only a few touch-ups needed.Special thanks to Steve Argyle for helping me out with the composite pictures and generally being cool.

Nice job. I haven't seen too many "official" images of her when she's not a walking inferno, but I think your look with the character and costume really fits well, and kind've brings a more sympathetic side to the hotheaded firecracker that she is.

I did! And with 1/4 inch rings, too. That shit is so fine you can't even see through it lol. It took months, I'm not even exaggerating x.x

Thanks! Yeah, I doubt I'd put myself through the torture of making this again, even if I was getting paid lol. It took me about 4 months, so don't feel bad that you aren't artsy enough to make something like it, because frankly, it nearly killed me ^.^

Your chandra costume is simply amazing! What materials did you use to make it, if you don't mind my asking? Was it mostly leather?

Thanks! I couldn't afford that much real leather, so I used a high-quality upholstery pleather for the top, the chainmail is copper rings. The armor is wonderflex, and the skirt is lined crepe. The gloves are a rayon spandex knit, and the goggles and shoes are celluclay. That's all I can remember at the moment, I think that was all X3

Aww thanks! And that'd be cool! But fair warning, they were both pretty damn hard to make. Chandra took much longer and cost more money (mostly because of the chain mail), but Jace was no easy task either. Combined, they took about 5 months and about $500 to make.

If you could figure out how to get a fake fire hair... and Fireballs, there are many tutorials in the internet, if I'm not mistaken...
But those are extras, your costume is REALLY good!

Unfortunately I've never used photoshop a day in my life, but I agree, it would be amazing. Chandra isn't my favorite planeswalker either in terms of the game itself, but she's such a badass, and my boyfriend was really set on being Jace, so I ran with it.

Haha, I actually did learn a trick from a friend that lets you hold little balls of fire (real ones) for short periods without hurting yourself, but I can't do it with the gloves on, because it would melt the rayon to my hands....
I was also thinking of learning a bit of fire poi if I ever get the chance.

FUAAAAAAAARGH, thank you ^.^ It was indeed a terrible hoary beast, and I was a little annoyed that the chain mail gave my waist a full 3 extra inches aaaaaagh *ponch does not exist IRL* but as long as my posture was good I think it rocked pretty hard.
