Here we have an old picture of a young Miyuki and a young Azusa walking with their mother Fujiko.As a young girl, Azusa always took Fujiko's tennis racket. Fujiko was a great tennis player and Azusa always wanted to be like her mom.
Fujiko also worked with the Powerful Maidens along side the Great Magician Saori and Miss Maiden (Kagura Morishita).
Azusa and Miyuki both have the talent and the power to have joined the Young Maidens, but their father forbade them from joining.
One wonders if things would have turned out differently if Miyuki and Azusa had been allowed to attend Arland and become Young Maidens ......

Oh my. Miyuki and Azusa, wanting to join the maidens, but their dad forbade them to do so? And this is their mother Fujiko?

Yep. This was Miyuki and Azusa's mom. I'm sure you can see the family relation. 
But she passed away.
Azusa was too young at the time, but probably would have joined the Young Maidens if given the opportunity. Miyuki wasn't given a choice and so she made some of her own decisions, which lead her to being a maid working for Misa.

Hmmm. I'm sure Heather would probably be made aware of this, if she had seen some more of Saori's diary, should she had mentioned about Fujiko, seeing that you said that they worked together in the past, in some fashion.

I'm sure she would have read about Fujiko in Saori's diaries .... but at the same time Miyuki and Heather have fought each other.

Well, that's because back then, she hadn't known about their mother.
