Description
This is a 1:1 Monster Squad Gillman bust from Black Heart Enterprisesthat I have put together and painted. Sculpted and licensed by Jeremy
Bohr and Featured Creatures. This is the first thing I have ever
painted with an airbrush- up until now I have always used regular
brushes and acrylic craft paints. You can see more pics, including

This is your FIRST time using an airbrush? Whuhhh! I would not have known. You transfer between mediums easily. Depth of scale is excellent, no pun with the scales intended. The appearance of fish like qualities, you have rendered with accuracy and so that contributes to the piece. It has the appearance of an exotic species so it is familiar and alien at the same time. I think you handled the depth very well and, for the size, don't need any additional shadows. To add anything more would be overkill and exaggerated. It strikes a good balance between senses and maintains the gillman legend.

Thank you very much for taking the time to critique.Β I really appreciate your feedback.Β Yes, 1st time with airbrush- I think the large size worked in my favor and allowed me to do both big and small things to get comfortable with using the airbrush.Β Also with it being a fish-type creature my screw ups and spatters are pretty well hidden amongst scales and stuff.Β lol.Β

i liked gillman's design in this film , but i think it could've done without the little tail

Yeah, overall I thought the monster designs in that movie were a really nice update to the classics.Β Gillman would win the award for most improved I think though- even with the little nub tail.Β
