I don't mind Gaspard as a character, but I honestly think he had a much better dynamic with Piros the 3rd than Silabus. Silabus came off more as Gaspard's babysitter than his friend to me. I have a lengthy rant about wasted potential in both him and G.U. itself, actually (including a certain quest in Reminisce that is totally not still a sore spot, oh no...).
