Ah, this is a big pet peeve for me. >.< I feel it's especially bad when the eye and eyebrow are entirely covered by hair, but they're fully coloured in like everything else in the drawing. It kinda gives the impression of them being stickers or something that've just been placed on top of the hair.
I suppose a way to make this sort of thing look better might be to make the opacity of the covered eyes and eyebrows really low so that it looks like they're obscured under the hair.
Another thing similar to this that bugs me is when people make the skin colour bleed/fade into the hair of the fringe, which I think is supposed to imply the lower density of the hair over the forehead, but to me, it makes it seem like the artist has gone too loose and coloured in the wrong places (especially if their style has defined outlines for the hair).

I'll do this for sketches or funny comics, i think some people find it difficult to even out the hair with the eyebrows

ya I agree that the eyes over hair can look p awkward, but personally when I draw in a simpler/cartoony style I might do eyebrows over the hair just depending on the expression but that's just me

Oh definitely. When I draw an expression that needs to show the eyebrows, I'll put them over the hair. But I try to avoid it

I love his videos but I always worry my art will show up in one. i use his videos as a guide for how to be better. I mean, I don't do the things he's saying not to do, but yknow
