Description
Dorito was relaxing in the boughs of the sakura tree, wondering a few random things, when a thought of different nature came to him. Achlys and Custos had both told him that the tree had spoken to them, when they had used their magic. now there was a chance that custos was just pulling his leg, but Achlys? she had seemed more genuine as she had told him, then proceeded to hide behind her mask.how dorito wished achlys did not depend on that blasted thing.
anyways, he was thinking off topic. the main objective was to get the tree to talk. but how? dorito barely knew how to speak tree, and he was sure throwing human food at it would not work. nor would stealing custos' skull mask and wearing that. that... was quickly buried away, lest one of custos' many roaming eyes decided to read his mind.
another strange thought surfaced instead. what do trees eat? if they had mouths, what would they eat? somehow the tree spoke, so there had to be some sort of magical creature trapped inside, right? what if it was a kitsunegami who had sung herself into the tree, after some sort of disagreement? would she (or he, or even it, as dorito was not one to presume genders) be hungry? dorito guessed they would be.
he looked over at the base of the branch, as he felt a paw tingling. there sitting on the branch were three perfectly ripe potatoes. just sitting there with an ethereal glow. as the surprised kitsu blinked, confused, he noticed his paw swinging free of the branch was glowing as well. as he looked at it, the glow receeded.
naturally, dorito fell out of the tree in alarm, as he had discovered something new. somthing... magical. he experimented again, causing a pile of orange triangular potato shapes to fall upon deimos, who had been walking by the tree, with his new horns. dorito hid away before the kitsunegami could see him, and tried again. this time, mashed potato appeared out of nowhere and splattered him in the face.
dorito grinned and flew down the tree, whooping as he flew about the area, before returning to clean up the mess his potato-ness had made. hopefully the tree spirit thingy would have enough food to last them a while.
dorito belongs to me, and deimos belongs to Sutunari
