This was a photo I shot at burningman 2005 that I didn't pay much attention to at the time, but one of my friends pointed out that they thought that it was a computer generated image. This picture is completely unaltered.Related content

yes, at first glance, it could be mistaken for some fantasticly surreal computer image. I like that there is no manip, i'm often amazed myself by the pics that are captured by todays digital cameras. i feel compelled to modify/massage [link] ever image that passes my computer, but some [link] are great right from the camera.

As I wrote earlier, it's a sculpture at Burningman in northern Nevada. I just happened to catch the light, fire, and people in such a way that it does not look real.

It was a sculpture on the playa at Burningman. I like that in the background you notice the human figure only to notice if you look closer that it too is a colossus surrounded by normal size humans. It's only the very small figures that are actually people.
