Concerning my 2 year absence:In the time that I have been gone for 5000000000000 years, my opinions have changed. Yeah, I'm less dickish, less ignorant. So, I'll still be uploading stamps here, but if you want my actual art account (i s2g i improved) note me.
Anyway onto stamp:
Recently I was told I can't argue about Sues/Stus because my OC is a special snowflake. The only definition I knew of at the time was "an OC who is stated to be not like the others, has unusual traits for its species, etc." and that made me so confused because my OC was simply a member of a species I created for an original story. I was told aggressively by the person to find a group of roleplayers "where special little snowflakes are welcome, and where, because of the wide range of ridiculousness like, [SPECIES OF OC], have fun in your open world of fucking chaos."
Breaking news: An OC of an original species DOES NOT automatically equal special snowflake. It's only a special snowflake if you go out of your way to be the most original-est of them all, e.g. a ninja alien robot werewolf. If you were inspired by something or the idea just came into your head to make the species, you aren't making it because you want people to comment on how original (or just how absurd) you made it, and it doesn't seem like an utter ripoff of any existing species, fictional or not, you're okay. However, warning signs indicating a special snowflake can be: If your OC is of a rare or supposedly extinct race and is (one of) the last of his/her kind, or has unusual powers for his/her species that are either unexplained or explained by "s/he's the chosen one".
What would be a special snowflake: You wanted the advantages of being a vampire/werewolf hybrid within a universe where vampires and werewolves exist, and so make a vampire/werewolf hybrid.
What wouldn't be a special snowflake: 2 characters of a specific species being more prevalent/shown more in your original story than any other characters of that species, because they're the main characters or supporting cast rather than background characters.

I have plenty of weird ideas. Cliche OCs are more annoying.
