So my photographer is going through a hard time in life right now and still hasn't gotten our photo shoot pictures back to us yet. But I got to see a few of them on her camera a while back and I promise they're A-MAZING! So I figured I'd post a lil picture letting you know we're not dead or anything XDZack and Aeris worn at Phoenix Comic Con 09!

You look awesome. Honestly, you make a really good Aeris, you pull her off just perfectly. 
As for Zack...not so much. I don't mean to be mean, but that's what I think. Sorry.
By the way, I want to ask you. Do you sew the clothes yourself, or do you buy them? Because I want to cosplay as Aeris personally some day, but even if I make the clothes myself, I still wonder how and where to get the accessories, such as her bangles, and the boots?

I do sew my own cosplays! I think its WAY more satisfying to make your own cosplays. You just feel so accomplished, and it gets me away from the computer! I also LOVE sewing with my friends! Then if I ever get stuck I can always bounce things off of them and make sure I'm not botching things up XD
Aeris is a great starter cosplay! The dress is quite simple and the jacket is the perfect step forward to learning how to stitch straight, and to pay attention to details! As for the accessories, I would suggest looking up some craft foam armor tutorials, or going to your friendly Home Depot or Lowell's and trying some PVC pipes! The boots are a great first boot cover practice too! Its nice to look for shoes that already have a similar shape and to build on top of them! I find the best place to look for shoes is at a thrift store, they're cheap so you wont feel bad hacking em apart! Please feel free to ask me any questions! I figured you must make them yourself. I don't like the idea of purchasing ready-mades (lol), but it's better when I get to be in charge and decide what the outfit should look like and what material should be used for it. I wish I had friends to sew with (or friends who knew how to), I only have my fiancΓ©'s mom and she's fabulous at sewing, only problem is, she's mostly busy.

Sculpey is fine and dandy! But I wouldn't us it as a base unless you are going to reinforce it with fiberglass cloth or something. It seems like it would be kind of brittle by itself. . . I say this because I'm kind of a klutz and have dropped my bracers many of times and it would be reall icky if they would break! *sadface*
